Stands for Polylactic acid or polylactide and is a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, or other recourses which contains dextrose.

After  fermentation of dextrose lactic acid is obtained which can be polymerized further towards poly lactic acid. PLA can biodegrade (biogas or compose) be physically and chemically recycled, if PLA is incinerated green energy is obtained.

Bio 4Pack is now using PLA in different applications, Thermoforming and for flow wrap film. We also use PLA for blending with other materials.

Thermoformed Products:
In our own production facilities we are able to produce all kinds of trays. Food packaging, Consumer packaging, Cosmetic packaging and gift packaging.
At Nedupack we have our own design and tool making department so we manage the complete process from concept to production tooling in –house.
